Alexander Matta Ruiz started in construction in 2006, learning the trade from the ground up on site. Over the years he built expertise across different areas and projects, eventually leading work in Cóbano and Santa Teresa. In 2021, with the area already known and a client network in place, he founded Matta Ruiz Construcciones. He began with small projects and grew into hotel and residential builds. Recent work includes Hotel Mint in Santa Teresa, Casa Buenos Aires, and Casa Delicias.

We keep a core team and scale per project. We work across the entire Nicoya Peninsula — Santa Teresa, Mal País, Nosara, Sámara, Montezuma, Tambor, Paquera, and surrounding areas — with a focus on luxury homes, custom pools, and high-end finishes for a mostly international client base. We know the terrain, the peninsula's climate, and how things get done here. When a project needs a fast answer, we're on call.
